Plaster carving sculpture.

A plaster carving formed with drills, chisels, and files creating a series of cavernous tunnels throughout the piece. Before starting with the plaster, I made a ton of small prototype concept with clay to decide on this idea. I then started by pouring the plaster into a bucket as the mold and slowly shaping it into an egg form before planning out where to make the tunnels. It was struggle to line up all of the holes and connections inside of the egg, but I managed to make it all work before carving smooth entrances into the tunnels. This piece is an abstract 3D sculpture that can alternatively be used as a candle holder at the top.
